Before you call

Four things that save a family time

Most of the confusion we hear on the phone comes down to these four.

Know whether you need a nurse or an attendant

A nurse performs procedures — injections, dressings, catheters — and leaves. An attendant stays for a 12 or 24-hour shift and helps with bathing, mobility and feeding, but cannot inject or dress a wound. Most families who call us have been quoted for the wrong one.

Have the discharge summary to hand

It names the procedure, the medication and the follow-up schedule. With it we can tell you exactly what is needed in one call; without it we are guessing alongside you.

Renting equipment is usually cheaper than buying

A hospital bed or a concentrator is needed for weeks, not years. Rent runs by the day, week or month, and every item on this site shows all three plus the deposit.

Ask what is NOT included

Ask it of us and of anyone else you call. It is the question that exposes the difference between a published price and a quote that grows.

If a question here is not answered, the FAQ has twelve more \u2014 and if that does not cover it, call and ask a person.
